Our mission is to preserve, protect and encourage the growth of our forrest. In doing so we are working toward becoming a Tree City USA through the Arbor Day Foundation

This Board has set three goals for the Town of Beech Mountain:

Taking a tree inventory and establishing a list of recommended trees that are both indigenous and available for planting and suitable to our unique elevations.

Assessing our diseased Hemlock population, with hopes of inoculationg and preserving those Hemlock in public owned parks. Also encouraging private homeowners to inoculate their own Hemlocks so that Beech Mountains Hemlock population will persevere.

Educating homeowners regarding the town Tree Ordinance, fines involved with not following said ordinance and pushing for heightened enforcement of the town Tree Ordinance.

We also encourage all homeowners to become Guardians of the Forest, so that we can put a stop to illegal cutting of our trees.
