Buckeye Lake

Buckeye Lake is the centerpiece of the Town's recereational facilities.  It is home to Buckeye Recreation Center, a softball field, playground for the kids, and is the trail head for several of Beech Mountain's hiking and biking trails.  For more information about our trail system, pleae click here.


Coffey Lake
This scenic mile course wraps around the lake and is perfect for both walking and jogging. A parking area is available with direct access to the trail. This area also has a basketball court.

Perry Park

This park serves as the trail head for the Pond Creek Hiking Trail and is a great place to have a picnic lunch.  This park is dedicated to the Town's former Public Works Director, Joe Perry.


Basketball and Tennis
The Town of Beech Mountain now has two tennis and one basketball courts for the public's enjoyment. Tthe basketball court is located at Lake Coffey near the entrance to the upper Pond Creek trail, while the tennis courts are located at Buckeye Lake adjacent to the baseball field.

Sledding
During the winter months, the Town of Beech Mountain offers a public sledding hill for kids of all ages. With snow making capabilities, the hill is open all winter for your enjoyment. The sledding hill is located adjacent to Town Hall here on Beech Mountain.

Ski Beech

Ski Beech offers fifteen different ski slopes, and ice skating rink, and various shops in the Village.  The Resort is open from around Thanksgiving until the middle of March each year, dependent on the weather.  The resort offers discounts of large groups of skiers and specials Monday through Thursday of each week during the ski season.  For more information, please visit their webstie at www.skibeech.com

Beech Mountain Club

The Beech Mountain Club offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities to club members and guests staying at qualified properties in Beech Mountain.  These recreational opportunities include an eighteen hole golf course, a club house, swimming pool, tennis courts, and a fitness room.  For more information please visit their website at www.beechmtnclub.org.
