NOTE ON GPS DIRECTIONS
GPS directions to the Town of Beech Mountain and within the Town are extremely unreliable!! Faulty GPS directions have caused many visitors to get lost.
The best route to get to Beech Mountain (from Boone) is to take Hwy 105 to the Tynecastle Area. Take a right on Hwy 184 to Banner Elk. Stay on this road until you get to the stoplight in Banner Elk and take a left to continue on Hwy 184. In approximately 1/4 mile veer to the right (just after Lees McRae College) to stay on Hwy 184/ Beech Mountain Parkway. Continuing on Beech Mountain Parkway will bring you straight through the Town of Beech Mountain. The entrance to Ski Beech Resort is one mile past Town Hall down a winding road on the left (just across from Holland Realty).

In an effort to keep the town clean, new standards have been adopted for the design of garbage bins. If your garbage bin must be replaced because it is unserviceable, or if you need a new bin, it must be built to these standards, which include the requirement for lids. Also, underground bins are no longer allowed beginning November 1, 2010.
